Diane Grefski is the Director of the Radiation Oncology Certified Coder (ROCC®) program and an AHIMA Approved ICD-10-CM and PCS Trainer. In this webinar Diane will present a summary review of ICD-10-CM as it pertains to radiation oncology coding and billing. In the presentation we will review the new codes pertaining to radiation oncology that have been added since the implementation of ICD-10 in 2015. She will touch on Use additional, History of, and Unspecified Codes, as well as cover the ICD-10 coding guidelines and resources that are available to radiation oncology coders. We will discuss common coding scenarios involving multiple diagnosis codes and provide guidance for the selection of the correct ICD-10-CM Codes and the appropriate sequencing of those codes.

  • Beginner Coders: We will discuss resources and direction on where and what to study. Coding is not easy but thankfully there are guidelines that give us direction on how to code properly.
  • Advanced Coders: We will review rules and regulations that are often overlooked as well as coding scenarios and ideas for appealing denials. We will also discuss new codes and changes to coding.
